Only when it has been fully discussed and agreed with you, the parent, and the childcare team, will your child progress to our wobbler room. The transition will be a very gradual process.
Whilst the emphasis in our wobbler room is on free play, a little structure will be introduced in terms of meals and naps. The room is designed around the idea that children at this stage in their development are especially curious about their environment. Activities include sand play, water play, painting and play-dough. A soft play area with foam wedges, steps and arches will satisfy their needs to explore physically and test out new muscles.
The home corner will aid their social development as they imitate familiar adults in household tasks. A fine motor skills table, with activities such as jigsaws and shape sorters, and a comfortable library corner complete the wobbler room.
